Groove Armada estreno el video animado de «Love 4 Now»
Tras el tan esperado anuncio de su primer álbum en 10 años, Groove Armada comparten el video que acompaña a “Lover 4 Now (feat Todd Edwards)”. Las mascotas navegan por el romance a larga distancia en este nuevo videoclip animado dirigido por Fons Scheidon que ve una historia de amor de perros y gatos recontada para la era virtual.
Las cualidades oníricas del último single del dúo están perfectamente representadas en esta historia animada de un amor floreciente encerrado entre los excéntricos personajes protagonistas del video: Cosmo el gato y Mio el perro (en la foto de arriba). Al vivir en hogares que no muestran signos de vida humana, Cosmo y Mio se ayudan con el contenido del refrigerador y la despensa, y encuentran consuelo y compañía a través de su video chat.
Dirigida y animada por Fons Schiedon de Nueva York, quien explica: “Escribí el tratamiento cuando Nueva York cerraba para manejar el brote de coronavirus. Durante semanas, la ciudad permaneció inquietantemente silenciosa, excepto por el frecuente sonido de las ambulancias. Una grabación de audio de ese paisaje sonoro tomada desde mi techo es con lo que comienza el video. Desde el aislamiento de un apartamento pequeño, y mi estudio improvisado ahora apretujado en un rincón de la habitación, los horribles escenarios futuros simplemente se escribieron solos «
Los oyentes se transportan instantáneamente a la nebulosa realidad alternativa de la curiosidad y los paisajes urbanos sepia de Schiedon con nuestros dos personajes principales atravesando el mundo digital de las citas en línea, encarnando la emoción de conocer a alguien nuevo y, como explica Schiedon, la animación podría ser «una buena metáfora para los últimos meses… trabajando en algo de forma aislada, pero virtualmente apoyado por otros”.
