Rápidos, fáciles de procesar y confiables los test de Covid-19 que desde este martes comenzaron a implementarse en Rosario.
Las pruebas comenzaron a usarse ayer en el barrio Libertad, de la comunicad Qom, en el marco del trabajo territorial que desarrollan los equipos de los centros de salud que recorren casa por casa buscando personas con síntomas del virus.
Y también en los camiones sanitarios instalados en el predio Ferial Parque Independencia (Ex Sociedad Rural) donde se desarrolló el acto en el cual el presidente de la Nación, Alberto Fernández, prometió fortalecer las acciones que se desarrollan en la ciudad para mitigar los efectos de la pandemia. Y, entre otras cosas, anunció que se iban a triplicar los testeos que se realizan para hallar en forma temprana la enfermedad.
El test rápido de antígenos es uno de los tres tipos de pruebas que actualmente se usan para detectar la presencia del Covid-19. El ministro de Salud, Ginés González, presentó las pruebas el miércoles pasado. Según se explicó en esa oportunidad, la ventaja de estos test es que no requieren ningún equipamiento especial tanto para la toma de las muestras como para la lectura de los resultados.
Esta característica de los test permite agilizar la capacidad de testeo, fortaleciendo la estrategia preventiva basada en el diagnóstico precoz, el aislamiento de los casos confirmados y el seguimiento de sus contactos estrechos. Además, indicaron, contribuirá a aliviar la tarea de los laboratorios de biología molecular, saturados una demanda que crece al mismo compás que aumentan los contagios.
La principal característica que tienen los test de antígenos es que permiten contar con el resultado «en menos tiempo y resultan más económicos que las pruebas diagnósticas que venían realizándose hasta ahora y tienen una buena sensibilidad y especificidad», señala Eduardo Anchart, director de Bioquímica del municipio y responsable del laboratorio del Cemar, uno de los primeros autorizados para realizar pruebas diagnósticas de Covid-19.
