Tim Burton prepara para Netflix una serie relacionada con «Los locos Addams» según informaron medios estadounidenses.
Jenna Ortega será Merlina, según informa The Hollywood Reporter, la actriz, que prestó su voz en series de animación como «Elena de Ávalor» o «Jurassic World: Campamento Cretácico», será la encargada de traer a una nueva generación a la hija del clan Addams en una serie que estará enfocada esencialmente en ella.
Así, Burton encontró a la actriz que reemplazará en el papel a otras como Christina Ricci, Nicole Fugere o Chloë Grace Moretz.
Según consignó la agencia de noticias DPA, el mes pasado Burton esperaba contar con la participación de Ricci para que esta vez se ponga en la piel de Morticia Addams, esposa de Homero y madre de Merlina y Pericles.
La serie, según trascendió, seguirá a la protagonista durante sus años como estudiante en una Academia mientras intenta dominar sus habilidades psíquicas.
Además, Merlina se verá envuelta en una misión por hallar quiénes están detrás de una ola de asesinatos que aterroriza a la ciudad en la que vive, y que la llevarán a descubrir algunos misterios sobrenaturales que rodean el matrimonio de sus padres.
Teddy Biaselli, director de series originales de Netflix, dijo sobre la trama: «La pequeña está dispuesta a resolver este misterio sobrenatural, en el que estuvieron involucrados sus padres hace 25 años. Todo mientras vive en una nueva situación, al verse envuelta también en enredos estudiantiles».
